Design Engineer/UAV Pilot February 2019 – Present

Working as a drone pilot, operating multi-rotor drones and fixed wing aircrafts.

Aiding in the following purposes such as photogrammetry, land surveying, R&D testing, cinematography, wildlife monitoring and disaster management.

Designed various multi-rotor and fixed-wing aircrafts for DIY/Hobby and commercial applications, used CAD software such as Solidworks and CATIA for designing and analysis purposes.

Instructed over 200 students on the assembly and operation of a multi-rotor drones during purpose designed workshops in multiple educational institutions across India. Chassis and Powertrain development engineer/Head of Design- Team Greyhound Jun 2015 – Nov 2016

Worked on chassis development ranging from material selection, FEA to fabrication/machine work.

Worked alongside the Powertrain division to design and fabricate suitable linkage mechanism for effective gear shifting.

Designed and manufactured custom made power transmission system using a belt drive.

Designed a more efficient cooling system using race-spec heat exchangers for effective heat transmission.

Designed a custom made solid engine mount for easier access to the engine for removal (servicing) and for minimal engine vibration and flex.

Worked in the Energy Transition Program, a sweeping initiative and part of the Bangalore transition journey that seeks to define how to employ new technologies and low/zero carbon mobility solutions in India. Worked specifically under the Transportation, Multi-Modal Energy Hub and Waste to Value sector which mainly focused on developing a new-age fuel station and finding meaningful ways of recycling waste matter keeping true to the green initiatives that Royal Dutch Shell stands for.

Liaised between multiple energy companies present in India and abroad for a potential collaboration.

Conducted suitable market research and formulated the results as per company requirements.

Designed a belt-driven swiveling elevator system for transportation of EVs along with a state of the art dock/pallet system used to dock EVs for rapid charging and for ease of transport.

Designed and developed the MMEH (multi-modal energy hub) and further aided in the construction of a pilot hub. ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Title: Proximity Sensing Robotic Cleaner January 2017 – June 2017 Objective: Developing an intelligent automated robotic cleaner that can be controlled via WIFI. The project stems from human assistive technology and automated robotics.

Role: Developed Software code that can be used to control various parameters of the robot. Built a prototype that senses light and uses a proximity sensor for mobility. The robot vacuums as well as mops floors using the provided app either manually or automatically.

Tools used: Hardware: Arduino Uno, Programmable Sensors and Modules, custom built mechanical vacuum and mopping device. Programming Language: C.

Software used: Solid works.

Title: Design of a Centrifugal Supercharger for a Motorcycle engine September 2016 – October 2017 Objective: Design a centrifugal type supercharger system for a motorcycle engine and develop a working prototype and 3D render. Role: Worked as the Lead Designer. Assisted my teammates on developing a scaled down working model and a detailed 3D render. Awarded an ‘A’ grade for this project and was showcased at the state-level science conference and exhibition. Software used: PTC CREO, ANSYS.
