The role focused on the Global Transitions Compliance Tracking System (GTrac) development which is a single platform for end-user requisition for international resourcing and related transition life-cycle management ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and permissions. Another focus of the role is the development of the Transition Metadata Tool project – another tool that would collect transition information on different data sources within the transition ecosystem, aggregate and reconcile these information and present them to the users through a Business Intelligence (BI) solution.

oConducted lesson learned sessions to draw continuous improvement in preparation for the October release. One major focus is the delay in test data provision which impact the start of test. To address this issue, a lead time was set for test data request and communicated and agreed upon with the client. As a result, 95% test data request were completed in time (an improvement from 63% from the last release) with a reduction of rework from 45% to 18%

Manages a team of developers that performs system maintenance and production support of a mainframe application system.
Lead the Derivatives offshore team in Manila which is involved in coding, testing and turnover to production phase of the development life cycle. The team is responsible for applying the code changes to batch programs, online programs and stored procedure as requested by different application users to support changes in business needs. Offshore personnel are also performing unit and system testing to ensure that required changes are met.
Interfaces with the onshore counterpart (client) and application users to discuss requirements of the enhancements/changes to the applications. The agreed technical enhancements/changes are assigned to an offshore staff for code change and testing.
Conducts reviews of deliverables prepared by team prior to submission to user for UAT (user acceptance testing). Responsible for creating Technical Data Sheet and submitting the said documents for user approval.
Ensures that project deliverables such as source codes and other components on Changeman packages and different requests are complete and correct prior to submission for turnover to production.

Developed a script that will produce files that contains checker, tender and override data derived from Teradata tables using UNIX Korn shell and Teradata SQL. The center of the Data Warehouse is a set of Teradata relational databases running under NCR platform. The team uses Korn Shell and Teradata Utilities to accomplish the process.
Redesigned and developed the electronic point of sale (EPOS) application using UNIX Korn shell and Teradata utilities. EPOS is the one of the largest application that the business is currently using. Its main goal is to transfer data from the stores to the data warehouse tables.
Analyzed the current system and wrote design documents such as data flow diagram, field mapping of the current table schema to the new table design.
Acted as the middleman between the client and the offshore team.
Project: Sigma Aldrich
Role: Team Leader/Programmer
Started as a programmer in a team that converts assembly codes to COBOL2 for a chemical-manufacturing company based in St. Louis, Missouri. The project involved conversion of 51 assembler programs to COBOL2 implemented in VSE/ESA mainframe.
Did program analysis of the assembly code to extract its functionality, documentation of the program’s functionality (which serves as the program specification for COBOL2 coding), program coding of the functionality documentation to COBOL2, preparation of the test specification and program testing.
Assigned to convert two batch programs and an online program. The batch programs are report generation program for product cross reference inventory and a program that will create a copy of a catalog file with inserted or removed formatting text depending on the options set in the lead card. The online program converted is an inquiry engine for product and package inventory.
Did quality assurance on documents and source code submitted to client, planning and monitoring of program assignments and interfacing with the client to discuss issues regarding to the project development.
Role: Tools Developer
Assigned as a team member of the Tools Team, an internal application tools development team. The said team is a support team for various conversion projects within the company. It is responsible in creating applications that would help Y2K conversion projects extract information from source code.
Developed, enhanced and maintained graphical user interfaces for a tool called Source Code Parser and other in-house using Borland Delphi. Source code parser is a tool that would extract information such as line counts (total number of relevant lines, total number of comment and blank line and the numbers of lines with date variables), date variables being used and the number of times being used in the code, copybooks being inserted and programs being called from source codes.
Managed a source code information and general information database that serves as data repository for the results of parsers.
Managed database task includes creating, designing, maintaining and customizing database for Y2K conversion projects using Lotus notes script.
