Nathan Pietsch
Data Scientist
SSAI certified Statistics and Mathematics graduate with an in depth knowledge of R, Python, and SQL. Seeking to begin a career in data analytics. Well rehearsed at creating data regression models, using predictive data modelling and analysing data. With a wide variety of technical and analytical skills I have the ability to adapt quickly work efficiently and liaise confidently as a part of a team or independently.
La Trobe University, Bachelor of Science major in
Mathematics and Statistics
• Data Visualisation
Linear modelling and regression. Using simple and multiple linear regression, response and explanatory variable transformations, ANOVA and ANCOVA.
•
Excelled in linear programming involving maximising and minimising a linear function subject to a finite number of linear constraints.
•
In depth understanding of computation and simulation using Excel and R studio. Using these programs to become highly familiar with nonlinear equations, interpolation, smoothing and optimisation, and numerical integration.
•
Applying appropriate computational methods using Excel and RStudio to solve mathematical and statistical problems that do not have analytic solutions.
•
Completed a third year group project identifying the factors that affect HDL concentrations. Refining the data, determining the significant factors by applying a series of models and then presenting our findings in a presentation.
