Value Stream Mapping

Performed VSM on Toyota Tacoma in attempt to understand why target cycle time was not being met. Results were mixed due to operators not hitting cycle time when not being observed.

Lead 5S Implementation Team

Lead Line 1 cell layout through observation, AutoCAD layout, and training of Supervisors and Team Leaders on what was required for sustainable 5S initiative. Results were increased changeover through placement of needed tools (110 minutes to 80 minutes).

Time Studies and Process Improvements

Reduction of 1 person in Toyota Tacoma production process through time study and process improvement. This was a reduction from 5 people to 4 people due to wait time of the individual operators.

Conducted engineering studies and observations to identify wastes and redundancy for reductions

Line balancing

Balance of Left side check fixture and Right side check fixture with time studies and operator work instructions. Balanced the 2 operators with 1-2 seconds of each other.
