Key Achievements & Projects:

Australian Tax Office C20 seamless GEO HW move from Burwood to Eastern Creek data center in Aug 2013.

My involvement in this project was to modify parameters, turn up C20 elements and executing the testing with the customer and 3rd party vendors. This step was curial to the overall success, I achieved a 100% pass rate on all call flows. Overall, this project was flawless with zero outage time and all systems up and running with no issues encountered. The feedback from ATO and Optus in the way I worked on these projects was outstanding.

World First NEC C20/Application Server/S-CSCF deployment in Japan Nov 2013. I was responsible integrating the Application Server onto the NEC S-CSCF and progressively adding functions and tweaks as the testing progressed. All customer expectations were met during lab trial testing and this led to a sale with Uzbekistan telecom.

NEC reported back to Genband commending my commitment and dedications where the trial testing was completed one week earlier than planned.

Application Server/S-CSCF Ericsson trial, DB design, deployment, test and integration Nov 2014.

In this project I was the lead Engineer responsible for design, commissioning, integration, testing and issues management. This project was my first BIG customer engagement project, I was adamant that I would give this all I had. Ericsson provided a High Level Design document where I engineered the domains, services, features, translations and routing plan.

I attended several meeting with Ericsson and Optus in Sydney discussing planning, resourcing, architectural design and providing solutions on how our Application Server could be configured to allow for certain complex call flows interworking with Ericsson s S-CSCF product.

As this was a first in country project partnership between Ericsson and Genband there was high visibility at the executive level.

This project was a big achievement for me as there was no other Engineer in Australia that had as much experience as I did. At the end of this project I was awarded a praise award from Genband.

From 2014 to 2017 I was the key upgrade engineer for ATO s C20 VoIP network which has POP (Point Of Presence) sites all around Australia. With ATO security not allowing the upgrades to be done remotely by our team in the US, I was the prime in managing this process.

Over this time I built up master project plans and strategies, presented and negotiated with the customer, built up the test and migration plans, upgraded/migrated their solution as a one man show. The feedback from ATO and Optus in the way I worked on these projects was outstanding.

In January of 2017 there was a hardware migration task that could not be fulfilled whilst I was on leave and I offered to cut my leave short to have this migration completed. Genband awarded me a praise award for making such a commitment, building up the customers confidence and keeping the project on track through to completion. ATO and Optus provided positive feedback to Ribbon in the way I worked this project and they quoted that “David is a high achiever that works extremely well with our staff”. Migration of Nortel Meridian PBX PRI subscribers to Application Server. I was responsible for converting Nortel Meridian PBX subscriber data and building up the application Server data base to match existing subscriber services. This activity was done for Colt in Japan and was a world first for Genband.

iVoisys Packet logic DPI POC trail, lead to customer in house testing and final sale. Customer very impressed with trial and noted at the end of the two day trial that they would be making a purchase.

Senior Office Validation Engineer

PLDT Philippines Application Server Standalone first time in country. I custom engineered and built the solution based on customers high level design specification. All work completed on time and met customer s expectation.

VNPT (Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications) pre-sales trial. Achieved 95% pass rate on tendered tests. Nortel C20 was the top performing customer during this trial.

PLDT Philippines BCF software to APC software platform migration. Designers were developing an automation process for this migration but could not meet the customer s deadline. I was part of a team developing and testing a manual process incorporating some automation scripts and was successful in getting this migration completed.
