Mary Hill for Missouri State Representative, Liberty, MO, July – November 2016
Political campaign for Mary Hill, who ran for State Representative in Missouri’s 17th District.
Campaign Assistant
Directed campaign efforts, as the only employee of Hill, in both a race against the incumbent primary candidate and then the opposing candidate in the general election. Collaborated with campaigners from Club for Growth as well as advisers from the campaign committee created by the Missouri House of Representatives. Relied upon to run on-the-ground efforts due to extensive knowledge of the district, including the determination of areas in which to campaign and which populations to target. Accounted for all possible outliers when solidifying campaign operations, such as schedules of other campaigners, weather, time of day, and the inclusion or exclusion of Hill’s physical presence. Provided Hill with political advice and strategy and acted as a thermometer for the constituents, reporting on issues of interest to either be highlighted or avoided. Conducted opposition research during the primary and contributed to text for campaign literature.
Defeated incumbent state representative for party nomination by < 1%, a historical first.
Trained five people on how to use Majority Maker and utilized the software to create and implement the data necessary to visit thousands of homes.
Spearheaded campaign signage efforts, convincing 25+ to place signs in their yard.
