NEMS INTEGRATION LEAD/MANAGER

Integrate and design NEMS systems that include supporting proposals, designs of new NEMS systems, system administration/troubleshooting, as well as negotiating with vendors to support the FAA.

Lead all hardware based NEMS deployments averaging approximately 2 million annual sales. Manage a team of Linux / DB admins to support the management of multiple environments consisting of over 700 RedHat/CentOS Linux servers (bare metal and virtual), NAS/SAN Storage in multiple 24/7 environments for FAA customers.

Supervise the deployments of all NEMS hardware on site as well as remote sites, including NetApp storage, Centos 6.x, and VMware based virtual systems into the FAA footprint.

Support all the following from initial configuration/deployment, updates/patches, tech refreshes and troubleshooting of NetApp FAS and E Series storage devices, Solace Messaging Appliances, HP / IBM Servers, and Cisco switches.

Maintain the master Kickstart server for all Linux NEMS configurations.

Coordinates with Harris FTI Program management, security, networking, NEMS Program management and the FAA to maintain NEMS system security compliance and availability for FAA users.

FTI SYSTEM ADMIN/LEAD ENGINEER

Led Backups of FTI Servers using Symantec Net-Backup and various Sun StorEdge robotic units, implementation, configuration and maintenance of Solaris 10 Jumpstart Server for Solaris 10 rollout for FTI.

Automated the installation of multiple software applications using Solaris Jumpstart with custom scripts. Upgraded Open Boot Proms and set up Solaris Volume Managed Mirrors for all Solaris servers to further the redundancy and reliability of FTI Servers.

Configured, managed and maintained RedHat Kickstart server necessary for the NEMS program.

Assisted in various Disaster Recovery Operation plans and upgrades at multiple and remote sites with software and hardware upgrades / replacements.

Functioned as a key participant for any FTI related Software or Hardware upgrades to UNIX servers, troubleshooting any problem on SUN Solaris/RedHat Linux servers within FTI.

BROWARD COUNTY OIT DIVISION 01/2005 – 02/2007

As the Lead Site Install Engineer/System Administrator of a UNIX network for the Ministry of Defense in the UK, designed and integrated softcopy image exploitation system, designed and developed a multi-platform JAVA based client for examination and retrieval of imagery-based files from a central server.

Functioned as the Lead Software Design Engineer for C/C++ based image exploitation program with responsibilities including design and implementation of custom API for client-server-based software, implementation of imagery exploitation algorithms and GUI design.
