Details of experience:
MD Experience:
I pursued MD from the Department of Radiation Oncology, Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre, SCB Medical College, Cuttack in the session 2011-2014. This is the Referral Centre for cancer serving the people of Odisha as well as the people from West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh. This Centre is equipped with a Theratron- 780C, a Bhbatron- II, an X-Ray Simulator, a HDR- Brachytherapy machine. I had been posted in OPD, IPD, Simulator Room, Machine Room and underwent training regarding Outdoor Patient management, Indoor Patient management, Radiotherapy planning, Brachytherapy and operating Radiotherapy machines. In this centre I had also been posted in the Department of Medical Oncology for a period of six months and trained in the field of Chemotherapy too.
My experience as a Senior Resident:
I joined as a Senior Resident in the Department of Radiotherapy, Lok Nayak Hospital on 3
rd
September 2014 and continuing till date. This is one of the best hospitals under Delhi Govt. This is a referral institute catering to the population from most of the parts from north India, few parts of NE and also Nepal. Bulk of our patient population is formed by patients from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar. The Department is equipped with a Theratron- 780E, Simulix simulator with cone beam CT facility, Microselectron HDR Brachytherapy machine. I had worked in OPD, IPD and Planning room on rotation basis in the Department under direct supervision and also independently. We are also practicing chemotherapy, both on day care basis and by admitting the patients. I am also having experience on teaching the postgraduate students, undergraduate students, nursing students in our department. I have also attended conferences, symposiums, seminars during my Senior Residence. My tenure will be completed on 2
nd
September 2017.
Experience at Nayati
Nayati has got a very advanced oncology centre, equipped with all advanced facilities like Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator with Monaco TPS, Microselectron HDR Brachytherapy machine, with facility of PET-simulation. Machine is capable of delivering all the high precision radiotherapy techniques. Department has two Daycares (total 5 beds) for administering concurrent chemotherapy. Overall it is a very nice experience working here.
Career Objective:
To be a competent Oncologist (Radiation Oncologist), revered teacher and active researcher. Seeking challenging career in the field of Radiation Oncology, to get a position of responsibility, using my skills and efficiency to work for the mankind and commit myself for achieving objectives with team effort and my positive attitude and performance.
