Device Manufacturing Technician
August 2017 - Present
Working in a Manufacturing Semiconductors E100 Cleanroom Fab in Etching inspection and Plating area. Trained and certified to operate tools in ETCH and Plating areas such as manual microscopes, automatic inspections tools such as ODIN (HSEB) tool and AIT (Rudolf Technologies) tools. Operating at ETCH dry station area tools such as TEGAL, AVI, and NANO Tools and Etch wet station area tools such as NIF, NOAH, COPPER, and Baking the wafers in the oven to process and measure 8-inch production wafers in the clean room FAB. Positioned to operate tools in Plating area to measure the thickness & composition of Silicon wafers in XRF tools and operating the STL tools.
Handling wafers, loading and unloading wafers into tools, selecting programs for the tool to run, and performing measurements to determine if process performed correctly.
Maintained a constant workflow to process wafers that were brought in from other departments were in the storage areas. Processed on average 350-400 silicon wafers per day, increased department output by 150%. Identifying and communicating with the engineers on issues and solve problems by diagnosing the roots caused to overcome obstacles and generate alternative solutions.
Worked with the Metrology maintenance team for Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on ATLAS (OCD & NAN tools) for changing the VIS/UV/SE lamps.
Created & edited on the standard wafer processing recipes on NOVA tools and measuring the Focus calibration & Light calibration and changing the lamp.
Worked on ODIN, AIT & AVI tools on troubleshooting, unloading the wafers, cleaning the stages when the tool shutdowns and bringing back the tool up for processing wafers.
Created and edited the new silicon wafer processing recipes on Plating XRF tools by creating a stage file & the Film file to edit & run the wafer in the tool.
Assisted to obtain lots from different areas and covering for tools that need help with coverage. Communicating and coordinating with other workgroups to perform a test on work in progress or completed work and obtains additional information regarding work assignment.
