Sidra Medical and Research Center is the most ambitious healthcare project in the Gulf Region today. The project is funded by a $7.9 billion USD endowment from Qatar Foundation, the largest for a medical and research center anywhere in the world. It represents the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Sidra, to provide the highest standards of patient care, medical education, and biomedical research in the region.

Sidra Medical and Research Centre is a turnkey contract includes the design, engineering, construction and outfitting of the hospital as well as conservation and maintenance. The medical centre will have the most modern and advanced medical technologies and operate under a paperless system. The objective is to create a medical environment backed by an image of quality and modernity to attract the best medical talent in the world. The complex will be comprised of six buildings occupying a total built-up area of 332,450 m2 approx. plus an infrastructure and grounds of 360,000 m2 approx.
