Private Consultant, February 2017—Present, Verona WI Currently serving as a senior project leader delivering the EHS assessment and reconstruction efforts associated with damage resulting from Hurricane Florence at military installations in North Carolina. EHS Manager for a private client from Norway constructing two water treatment plants in Cameroon valued at Euro 59M. Executed all EHS project elements, inspections, audits, investigations, training and subcontractor oversight.
February 2010 – February 2017. Senior EHS Project Manager, Environmental Chemical Corporation (ECC), San Antonio TX Served as EHS manager for ECC West Africa managing the construction of a
$56M 50,000 m3/day water treatment plant for the national water company
(Camwater) at Akomnyada Cameroon. Responsible for all EHS programs, managing subcontractors, all safety programs and training for over 400 workers. Delivered this water treatment plant on time with zero major accidents or injuries. From April 2011- December 2013 served as the EHS Program Manager for all construction activity in five western and southern provinces in Afghanistan. Served as primary EHS coordinator and client interface with Department of Defense (DoD) customers for US Government work in the Middle East. Integrated EHS programs for all projects across 12-15 task orders with 4000 workers based on US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) requirements. Recruited, trained and placed site safety and health officers on all projects. Developed site specific EHS programs and training based on the work to be performed. Typical projects included horizontal construction of airfields, utility systems and vertical construction of US military and Afghan Army installations using traditional CMU and k-span steel construction techniques. Achieved one of the lowest recordable accident/injury rates of all military contractors working in the region.
