PROFESSIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand the emotional and physical problems undergoing special diagnostic imaging examination and able to care for the patients safely with sensitivity.

Responsible for dissemination practice of departmental and institutional policies, procedures and regulations information. Report malfunction to the maintenance department.

Participate with personnel of other departments in planning joint administration and technical programs and recommends for coordination of radiological services with related activities.

Explain to patients the procedures on how to admit patients for diagnostic imaging procedures and care for their basic needs in safe and effective manner.

Make the necessary modification when dealing with patient who is very ill, severely injured, very young or elderly, confused or combative.

Recognize life-threatening emergencies and initiates appropriate medical action during radiologic procedure.

Learn techniques for controlling infection during patient care and will accept responsibility for infection control.

Performs mammogram routine procedures:

receive the request from the patient and explain the procedures.

get the history of the patient and other records related to the examination.

make the patients comfortable while doing the procedure.

handles the patients carefully and provide care especially when holding the patient’s breast.
