Project Engineer.

My duties:

• Coordinate engineering effort (for building demolitions, Emergency Diesel Generators, HVAC equipment) with project manager, procurement, construction, startup, environment, safety, health, and project controls, when assigned.

• Plan engineering assignments to include estimates for engineering staffing, quantities, scope reviews, schedules on a project. I have technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.

• Develop statements of work, system requirements, Basis of Estimate; establish project assumptions and constraints, key milestones and deliverables, and summary schedule. Input to and own the engineering elements of a project capital estimate

(proposals and execution) quantities and budgets.

• Establish technical assumptions and risk assessments, safety practices and procedures are implemented, and engineering design and corresponding design documentation are in compliance with project quality assurance plan and procedures.

• Plan, forecast, and identify the necessary engineering resources to support project workload requirements. Coordinate activities among the design and system groups on the project.

• Procurement Engineer and STR for LANL at the CMRR Project in dealing with suppliers of HVAC equipment, Glovebox equipment, programmatic equipment

• AS STR, served as the primary point of interface between the subcontractor's organization and LANL for monitoring subcontractor performance, resolving technical issues, responding to technical information requests, coordinating status reviews, coordinating LANL hold and witness point activities, oversight of the review and acceptance of subcontractor submittals, oversight of the acceptance testing of subcontractor submittals and coordinating resolution of technical or quality problems identified during inspection of received deliverables.

• Develop or coordinate preparation of the commercial grade dedication plans for equipment procured for use in safety applications and specification of equipment receipt acceptance criteria. June 2006- April 2015 Chicago Bridge & Iron, Aiken, SC Senior Mechanical Engineer, Subcontract Technical Representative/Procurement Engineer on the MOX Project, Savanna River Site, and at Vogtle Nuclear Generating Plant, Waynesboro, GA. My duties:

• Technical lead on projects to design and procure various types of equipment including elevators, cranes, man lifts, valves, fire doors, orifice plates and sonic flow nozzles, specialty piping systems.

• Develop specifications, IALs, SORVDs, RBLs, etc. for design and manufacture of equipment by others.

• Function after subcontract award as the primary point of interface between the subcontractor's organization and MOX Services for monitoring subcontractor performance, resolving technical issues, responding to technical information requests, coordinating status reviews, coordinating MOX Services hold and witness point activities, oversight of the review and acceptance of subcontractor submittals, oversight of the acceptance testing of subcontractor submittals and coordinating resolution of technical or quality problems identified during inspection of received deliverables.

• Function as the responsible individual within MOX Services to coordinate the planning, estimating, procurement scope definition, technical support to the bid process, and technical evaluation of bids received.

• Develop written procurement plans, sole source justifications (where needed), cost estimate summaries, recommended bidders lists, material requisitions and statements of work, responses to bidder questions, technical bid evaluation reports, correspondence to subcontractors, status reports, responses to subcontractor information requests and other documents as needed to facilitate completion of assigned work of procuring equipment for a nuclear facility.

• Develop or coordinate preparation of the commercial grade dedication plans for equipment procured for use in safety applications and specification of equipment receipt acceptance criteria.

• As part of the monitoring and oversight function of the subcontractor after award I interact regularly with the subcontractor as well as with the Subcontract Administrator within the CB&I Procurement organization, and on an as needed basis with other MOX Services personnel in Engineering, QA, Construction and Operations. Interface and status reporting is also required with SPSG Project Controls and Project Management.
