RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Senior Design project: Currently working on designing embedded system Application for EM and Ultrasound sensors. Building a portable medical device that can measure electromagnetic properties of human brain, impedance, pressure and also can detect abnormality of human brain.

Wireless Digital Oscilloscope and Spectral Analyzer: Designed and developed a wireless digital oscilloscope and spectral analyzer using PIC microcontroller, Bluetooth, Keypad, LCD and C# GUI. The system accurately plots ADC digitized data and Discrete Fourier Transforms (DFT) on the GUI continuously.

Function Generator: Designed and developed a system that uses PIC microcontroller and C# GUI to generate periodic signals with different frequencies and duty cycles. The system accurately measures pulse width, duty cycle, and frequency.

Wireless Data Transmission: Designed a system to transmit a 50Hz sinusoidal signal between two PIC microcontrollers. The PIC was programmed in C to transmit ADC data using HP3 series transmitter and receiver. The receiving end used I2C protocol to synchronize the data to the DAC.

Product Design Intern

Assist in designing and implementing hardware that can analyze tissue state by sending waves into soft tissue and measuring the wave parameters after tissue.

Design the PCB board for the entire system using “Altium Designer and PCB123” and conduct testing using phantoms.

Develop a PC graphical user interface (GUI) to communicate with microcontroller on the PCB via Bluetooth (wireless serial communication)
