Project: Virtual Credit Card

Virtual Credit Card or Single User Account payment was established for all claim payment. This involved application changes and co-ordination with bank.

Project: EFT Payment

Vrtual Credit Card or Single User Account payment was established for all claim payment. This involved application changes and co-ordination with bank.

Project: PPO Provider Data Consolidation

Insurance company usually have many PPO network and it was complex process to store and use those data effectively. Data of all providers under PPO networks contracted with Insurance Company and their fee data were merged, arranged and stored in a way to use them effectively in application. Application had changes to use those data effectively.

Project: APCD (All Payers Claim Database)

APCD extracts comes under compliance. APCD data extracts are complex process. This project needed extensive knowledge about policy, plan and claim admin system.

Project: Annual Fee Increase and CDT changes

Providers under PPO network gets annual fee increase in their contracted fee for a procedure through this project. This project also involves addition of new CDT codes for all providers.

Project: Conversion Gap Remedies

Legacy policy admin system was migrated to another non mainframe admin system. There were many challenges in accomplishing without being impacted. To overcome GAP, there was project launched to copy maximum, claim history from old member to new member.

Project: Increase claim adjudication rate

Claim auto adjudication rate was close to 50 % when I joined and as part of continuous improvements, auto adjudication are reached 75% till now. Increasing auto adjudication rate involved finding failure cases, analyzing and implementing solution.

Project: 837D to claim application input file

Worked on Biztalk and XSLT to convert HIPPA 837D X12 file to application input format.

Project: Production Support and regular system stability

Solving Abends, fixing them permanently, adhoc tasks and many other activity were part of Production support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

I had extensive meetings with both the Business and Users teams to gather requirements.

Analysis and Understanding the requirements & functional specifications.

Conduct review session for business document with a team of business end users, application developers and technical analysts.

Preparation of TS (Technical Specifications) based on the existing functionality and requirements.

Created detailed technical design specification for enhancing the batch programs, care was taken to re-use most of the existing components/modules.

Knowledge Transfer to the offshore team with business functionality and the new requirements.

Development of the new batch programs using COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM

Debugging and implementing the system using IBM Debug tools.

Involved in preparing test plans for Independent Unit testing and System testing.

Impact analysis for requirement changes, finding affected list of programs and homogeneous implementation.

Setting up Process to be followed from Offshore.

Perform Peer review and log any issues and track till it is closed.

Log Work Ticket for testing defects identified and track till it is closed.

Prepare turnover elements check list to make the turnover process is seamless.

Responsible for correct versioning of code by creating and moving the requests using Endevor.

Status Reporting and Responsible for the final delivery.
