Accomplishments
Provided user requirements analysis, design and programming support for enhancement of Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) software which accessed by US Navy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authoring_Instructional_Materials
Contributed software engineering expertise in the development of Content Planning Module (CPM), other version of AIM, through the software lifecycle, from requirements definition through successful deployment
Experience
Software Engineer: September 2011 to Current - Aimereon, Inc. - Columbia, Maryland
(a)CPM – previous application
Content Planning Module (CPM) software is a newer version of Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) which has more than 20 years in supporting the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) and Navy training acquisition community. CPM/AIM supports all aspects of the ADDIE process from training task analysis through designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining instructional, training, and assessment content. CPM/AIM provides maintenance and surveillance capabilities that have reduced surveillance costs by 50%.
Providing object-oriented (OOS) design for this software
Performed analysis, design and development of the application according to the user requirements and learning content design. Based on Job/Duty/Task and requirements of all the learning objectives, we created the layout courses with detail items such as storyboard, lessons, test items, etc… for each individual level of users. The CPM allows you to create a Curriculum Outline of Instruction (COI) for a course, comprised of Modules, Lessons and Sections that are linked to the JDTA(Job/Duty/Task/Attribute) items.
Developed and implement web pages using ASP.NET webforms, HTML and used JavaScript, JQuery, CSS for styling the web pages
Implemented appropriate WinForms error handlers so that user can experience user friendly messages for exceptions
Participated in meetings with users and with other project teams to ensure that the training purposes requirements reflect in the project development
Debug the web applications to rectify the errors that surface during the operations. Responding promptly to reports of bugs
Repairing legacy code
Providing general administrative support to the IT department
(b)LEAD – Learning Analysis Design – current application
LEAD supports all aspects of training and task analysis, content, assessment development. Allows for development of full courseware, lessons, workshops on-the-job training, performance support or chunks of micro-learning
Maintained existing code, fixed issues, and developed new features for this new application using JavaScript, JQuery, ASP.NET, WebForms and SQL Compact.
Used Agile methodology for this application development.
Re-designed and implemented User Interface layer using HTML and ASP.NET with all new functionalities to apdapt all kind of trainings.
Analyzed, design and develop a whole new training courses for Navy Corp based on existing content.
Used SVN for versioning, source control and progress tracking.
Applied MS SQL for store, query and manipulate data
Translate C# web forms code to VB.NET to map with current software
