Optimization on elaborated “T-tube” and experimentation design and performance for mass transfer diffusion analysis on surface tension relation.

Preliminary results showed a relationship between mass transfer coefficient and surface tension measurements using the drop weight method.

Research Assistant – Chemistry department (University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez)

January 2017 – May 2017

Data analysis and collection on μ-PDMS (micro polymer) surface structures coated with silver for optimization on Surface Enhancement Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) applications.

Results indicated that the optimal parameter in terms of grit size and silver thickness are 1000 and 10 nanometers for SERS suitability in terms optical properties.
