Associate RF Engineer

Developed good understanding in UMTS Field testing and data analysis and Troubleshooting.

Mainly worked on Agilent, Actix and MapInfo. Microsoft Streets and Trips were used as navigation tools.

Testing includes analysis of voice/data call quality, signal strength, site scanning and throughput for the UMTS network.

Collect UE physical measurements (SC, RSCP and Ec/No) for all the cells in the active Set and Collect scanner data for all the detected cells.

Verify Radio quality (BLER) requirement on several different radio services, Handover functionality performance, the network, site functioning properly, antenna positions, antenna directions or tilt and swapped feeders, neighbor relations list.

Analyze drive test problems for the whole network and determine if drop call caused by poor RSCP and Ec/Io coverage, RF interference, pilot pollution, missing neighbor, over shoot, poor handover parameters, poor power control, site addition recommended if necessary etc.

Cluster Tests and Market Tests include scanning and determining the areas where the optimization is necessary and to locate the poor network points to avoid drop/block calls.

Static Site testing includes handover between sectors and the strength of the particular sector at different locations near the site.

Troubleshooting performance problems utilizing parameters, metrics and drive test data. Experience in Ericsson GSM and UMTS too.
