MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Suicide Prevention

• In collaboration with David A. Jobes, PhD, introduced the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) to the United States Air Force Medical Service. CAMS is now used across military branches and in the Veterans Administration (VA) System to care for Active Duty Military, Veterans, and their dependents suffering suicidality.

Neuroscience

• As the neuropsychologist with MCB Clinical Research Center’s Neurosciences Team, conduct neuropsychological screenings and comprehensive assessments in pursuit of new, more effective treatments for DSM-5 Disorders including PTSD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Major Depression, Bipolar, and Neurodegenerative Disorders.

Telepsychology

• Contributed to advances in the development and delivery of new, telehealth assessments and treatments for DSM-5 conditions including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. EMPLOYMENT

ERP International, LLC provides Next Generation IT, Business Process Management, and Clinical Services tailored for Federal Healthcare, National Security, and Defense customers. As Clinical Psychologist/Board-Certified Medical Psychologist, evaluate and treat commander or practitioner-referred service members who present with a range of biopsychosocial factors that compromise their current or future health and operational functioning. Serve as content area expert in the fields of psychology/neuropsychology and human performance to develop and implement programs that optimize the health, performance, and resiliency of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel across a variety of tasks and environments. In addition, consult with other health care providers and clinics to improve patient management, healthcare delivery, and compliance with prescribed regimens and procedures. Services include assessment for special duty assignments and various medical procedures (e.g., placement of spinal cord stimulators, weight loss surgery); desensitization of fears in the operational environment; treatment to enhance coping in the context of chronic conditions including diabetes, epilepsy, migraine headaches, and low back pain; interventions to manage symptoms (e.g., insomnia, panic/anxiety); behavior-change programs for behavioral risk factors such as smoking, obesity, and stress; assessment and treatment of patients in primary care settings and consultation and program development regarding patient self-management and medical compliance. May 2011 – Present Investigator / MCB Clinical Research Centers, LLC MCB Clinical Research Centers is a Site Management Organization providing clinical drug and device trials in the therapeutic areas of oncology, cardiology, gynecology, hematology, nephrology, neurology, ophthalmology, psychiatry, pulmonology, and rheumatology. As Investigator, act as the primary/secondary clinician in charge of clinical issues at the clinical research site. Work with the other Investigators and the Site Director to evaluate clinical trials and ensure that all study-related procedures are completed properly from a clinical and a regulatory perspective. Represent MCB Clinical Research Centers, LLC at conferences sponsored by potential clients (i.e., pharmaceutical firms) as requested. Assist Patient Recruitment personnel in recruiting patients for studies, with emphasis upon working with other community agencies, physicians, and hospitals. February 2018 – Present Consultant / CAMS-Care, LLC The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) is recognized by the Joint Commission as one of the three “evidence-based clinical approaches that help to reduce suicidal thoughts and behaviors” with over 30 years of peer-reviewed research (including 4 randomized clinical trials) support. As Consultant, deliver initial, interactive role play training and follow-up case consultation to clinicians committed to saving lives through CAMS- guided care.

August 2002 – June 2017 Clinical Director / The NeuroAssessment Centre, LLC The NeuroAssessment Centre, LLC was a multidisciplinary group practice offering comprehensive and integrative psychological and psychiatric assessment and treatment services to the Colorado Springs Community. As Clinical Director, provided direct patient care and supervised all psychological/neuropsychological assessments and treatments provided by the Centre. Specialized in the evidence-based assessment and treatment neurobehavioral conditions and injuries including Dementia, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Complicated Grief, and Mood Disorders Secondary to Medical Conditions. August 2002 – December 2007 Vice President, Clinical Affairs / Lexicor Medical Technology, LLC Lexicor Medical Technology, LLC was a medical technology leader in the research, development, and distribution of hardware- and software for quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG). As Vice President, Clinical Affairs, led all aspects of the company’s clinical operations. Served as a senior member of the Executive Staff. Managed clinical report services and provider relations. Served as the primary corporate spokesperson regarding clinical issues. Developed and maintained strategic partnerships with academic and corporate partners. September 1998 – August 2002 Clinical Psychologist /Chief, Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention & Treatment (ADAPT) Program /10th Medical Group/ United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) and Peterson Air Force Base

The 10th Medical Group provides health care services to over 64,000 beneficiaries including support to NORAD, Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, and four major wings located at the United States Air Force Academy, Peterson AFB, and Schriever AFB. Primary goals are to ensure wartime readiness and maintain the health of current and future air and space leaders. Conducted psychological evaluations for security clearances, special duty assignments, the Personnel Reliability Program, and fitness for duty determinations. Implemented clinical outcomes management program to objectively assess and systematically track patients’ initial status, treatment response, and outcome. These and other quality improvements resulted in the Life Skills Center’s receipt of the 10 MDG Quality Award.
