EMPLOYMENT
I was a single family homebuilder from 1975 to 1995. I began with Builders’ Homes (headquartered in Dothan, AL) in a fast-paced operation, building 9 homes a day. My day to day regimen was planning the day with assigning subs task, from layout to final inspections. All in a day’s work would include plans review, making takeoffs, scheduling crews for foundations/plumbing/HVAC underground, obtaining permits and paying applicable fees. The side trips to attorney’s office for title check and/or mortgage processing were vital to production. After leaving Builders Homes, I owned and ran my own company, Heritage Builders, Inc. of Albany, GA from 1980-1995.
