Production and Separation of Acrylonitrile
• Developed a simulation process using Aspen Plus V9 producing Acrylonitrile from Ammonia, air, and refinery-grade Propylene using a fluidized bed reactor in the presence of a catalyst.
• Executed the goal of the project which is producing 99.9 wt% of 500 million pounds per year of Acrylonitrile.
• Estimated the equipment cost, the raw material cost, the production cost and the number of employees required to run the plant efficiently and safely.
