PRIOR PROJECTS

1.My biggest project using Java is one that I made that connects my database (MySQL) and NetBeans together. How the JSP works is first it asks for a username and password. If they are incorrect you would be redirected to an error page. When you did input the correct username and password, depending on the authority of the user you can either have partial access, or full access. If you have full access you can then use a calculator, add/delete/edit/view the users in the database, or user login information. Whichever action you choose to do will automatically be updated in the database.

2.My biggest project in the big data certification program involved using MapReduce, Sqoop, Hive, HBase, and Pig. First I had to create my own directory, then using Hive and HBase I created internal and external partitioned tables while loading the data. Some of the analysis being deleting duplicated records, retaining the latest value, removing null values, replacing certain characters within the data, as well as joining the tables together. The data being retrieved for the staging tables included data from a database in MySQL that has millions of records along with some on the local file system.

3.The biggest project I did in my training course involved loading data from csv files into a MySQL database and Jupyter Notebook. Once the data was in the databases I wrote queries in SQL/Python to ensure data integrity. I then wrote python scripts to perform analysis data on a 20 M dataset. Used Microsoft Visio to create architecture, low level design, dimensional model, and end to end diagrams. Created PowerPoint presentation to present the project.
