Volunteer Work

Corridor, 2018

Corridor is a podcast that I started after graduation from UBC to talk about Cancer basics

(including primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention), cancer treatments and its side-effects, and issues that caregivers face during the treatment. The findings of my thesis research showed the level of awareness of cancer risk factor among Iranians in the Greater Vancouver area is low, so I decided to start this podcast and aimed to educate the Iranian audience around the word about cancer.

Onlinediet.ir, 2013-2016

In 2013, I started a website (http://onlinediet.ir/) and created a Facebook page

(www.facebook.com/ondiet.ir) with regular posts on a healthy diet with scientific references. My goal was to educate my Iranian audience about adapting a healthy lifestyle and also how to benefit from Scientific results in their daily lives. I also created a Viber group with around 200 Isfahan citizens, which has facilitated exciting dialogue among people around healthy lifestyle. Members shared their thoughts on a healthy diet while they usually get feedback from others.
