Deans List
Relevant Courses: Fluid Dynamics Thermodynamics Differential Equations Dynamic Systems and Control Applied Thermal/Fluids Lab Aerospace Propulsion Hydraulic Control Systems
Relevant Skills
Engineering Graphic Design and programming skills: AutoCAD, SolidWorks
Programming Knowledge: MatLab/Simulink, Excel, C and C++
Moderate Spanish communication and understanding
Relevant Projects/Experience
Senior Capstone Quad Copter Control Project
Worked as a member of a 5-man team tasked in designing and implementing a PID controller to stabilize the roll and pitch attitude of a quadcopter
Used SolidWorks to model the quadcopter to estimate the physical properties for the simulation testing
Tuned the PID gains to give us satisfactory control with limited overshoot and reduced steady state error
Laboratory Experience (Applied Thermal/Fluids Lab)
Measurement acquisition and performing data/uncertainty analysis using various sensors along with ExcelLINX and the Keithley 2701 DMM
Worked in a group to create technical reports and recommendations based on our experiments
Super 8 Film Projector Project (Mechanical Design)
Designed and analyzed a Super 8 film projector for its velocities and accelerations for each link
Used SolidWorks and AutoCAD to design the projector and analyze its movements
Fluid Dynamics Heat Sink Project
Analyzed a heat sink and found the pressure drop and the power from the fan within the heat sink
Modeled the heat sink in SolidWorks to further analyze and estimate physical properties
Used various fluid equations and properties in order to calculate the desired values
Satellite Orbit Project
Derive equations that will accurately represent the orbit of a satellite
Used MatLAB to program the equations and create an accurate graphical depiction of the orbit
Work Experience
Em Chamas Brazilian Grill 2010-Present
Gained leadership experience as acting manager on duty
As a server; practiced multitasking and teamwork, organizing the servers on staff
Increased communication skills working with customers and solving problems
As a Pasador (Meat Cutter); trained others in knife handling and care, meat preparation/cooking skills
Worked up from bus boy to lead server
