WORK EXPERIENCE
Netmagic Solutions Data Center (NTT Communications), Service Engineer- Operations, Mumbai Aug. 2015 - July 2016 Monitored Network Infrastructure through 'Check_mk' monitoring tool and optimized network performance by 50 percent.
Provided level 1 and 2 of network troubleshooting and resolved 40 percent of connectivity issues. Maintained sites and servers at maximum uptime through proactive oversight and scheduled maintenance. Managed incidents and network performance within SLA's, OLA's and KPI's. Improved the uptime of the overloaded servers by managing server memory by 20 percent. Scripted Cron jobs for scheduling, ring and modifying remote back-ups on a daily basis, thus increased the reliability and accessibility by 20 percent for 10 dedicated clients. Ensured the tickets raised per shift are closed as per SLA and if not escalate as per the escalation matrix de ned. ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Performance optimization with FlowVisor southbound on virtualized Multi – Tenant Data Center Networks. Con gured a Flowvisor connected to 2-tenant model with individual SDN controller. Sliced the network based on ports to provide separate data paths. Improved bandwidth by 100 percent and reduced the latency by 50 percent. Network Simulation for Wireless and Mobile Network ( Linux, Python) Developed a network application to avoid packet collision. Simulated network topology on AODV, DSR, and DSDV. Achieved minimum tra c loss and maximum throughput while increasing the distance between the nodes as well the number of nodes for e cient wireless and mobile network. Firewall-VPN Lab: Bypassing Firewalls using VPN
Accessed blocked website in the rewall through VPN. Set up Host-to-Gateway tunnel for routing packets to the internet. Linux Capability Exploration ( Linux)
Gained the rst-hand experience to master the use of capabilities, analyze the design of the capability-based access control in Linux.
Adjusted privileges, so that processes can delete, disable and enable the capabilities for the security. Ad-Hoc Network on VoIP (Linux, Python)
Developed Ad-Hoc network and implemented a voice-calling mechanism in cognizance with SIP protocol in Python. Achieved call establishment, call on hold and call conference with optimal e ciency.
