ACADEMIC PROJECTS
CO2 Car Design and Analysis with Solidworks Software Spring 2018
Comp Integrated Manufacturing, Lamar University
Learned the principles of testing aerodynamic performance using Solidworks and flow simulation as an integral part of a creative and iterative design process.
Aerodynamic performance of the control car served as a reference for comparing and assessing the effects of changes to the car body’s shape.
Design and Analysis of NACA4420 Wind Turbine Aero Foil Using CFD Spring 2017
Turbomachinery, Lamar University
Developed a new kind of wind turbines to produce power from wind energy and analyzed the turbulent effect of wind turbine aero foil.
Utilized Solidworks to create the aero foil’s two-dimensional model of NACA4420.
Analyzed from root to tip using ANSYS CFD for angle of attack ranging from 3 to 10 .
It was found that blade angle with 4 angle of attack has the maximum L/D ratio which leads to increase the efficiency.
Performance Analysis of NH3-H2O and LiBr-H2O Based Vapor Absorption Refrigeration System Spring 2015
Academic Project, University of Pune
Focused on the construction of a two fluid gases absorption refrigeration unit, intended to operate in an atmospheric environment.
Conducted extensive analysis of the thermodynamics, heat transfer, and chemical properties of a two fluid gases absorption system to design in Solidworks and construct the structural model.
Performed performance analysis of NH3-H2O and possible alternate cycle as LiBr-H2O solution with H2O as refrigerant and LiBr as absorbent are compared in respect of the Coefficient of Performance (COP) and different operating conditions.
