C++ Programming: Developed server and client code that communicate through TCP/IP to parse, and
query XML content generated from data queried from an oracle or Sybase database. Implemented
caching, using SQLite, for data that was either written to a file or resided in memory. Implemented
and coded a method to track user selections using XML.
C#: Developed a windows GUI application that reads/changes application settings in the registry,and
starts/stops application services.
PHP: Used command-line PHP to create automation scripts for compiling and packaging applications.
Implemented web forms for content retrieval from the web application to the browsers.
XML: Created XML layouts to be generated by a server coded in C++ and parsed by an XSL engine.
XSLT: Created style sheets that would merge with XML content to generate XHTML output for users
of a web application.
DHTML: Developed with native JavaScript a Fixed table header for a table that scrolls horizontally and
vertically. The header doesnt scroll vertically and it can still scroll horizontally. Added functionality
to hide and show table columns dynamically. Implemented a new loading status design. Improved
the manipulation of multiple check boxes to make it work same way a web mail application does,
but also with the support of selections from multiple pages. Used AJAX to change content without
reloading the whole page. Integrated PrototypeJS JavaScript library. Created HTML and CSS layouts
that are compatible with various browsers.
General: Used C++ 3rd party libraries like boost, sqlite, stlport, and others. Learned about application
security. Developed code that runs under Linux, Solaris, and Windows. Learned how to use version
control. Expanded UNIX knowledge. Mastered PrototypeJS javascript Library.
