I have graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University as of January 2019, and will continue to further my education in the future by obtaining my Doctorate of Nursing. This position appeals to me because it would allow me to combine the knowledge I have gained through my education and working experience as a professional nurse, with my strong interest to providing quality care to those in need.
As a compassionate and versatile individual, I believe that I would be a perfect candidate for this position. My current job at University of Maryland in Chestertown, MD as well as my various clinical experiences in family practice, pediatrics, and woman’s health has provided me with excellent experience and skills needed to expand my career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have gained extensive experience working with patients, their families, and other medical professions diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions throughout the life-span. Some of my strengths include being a self-motivated hard worker, working in high stress situations while maintaining professionalism, always offering a helping hand, and providing patient care that focuses on all facets of a person’s physical condition; emotional, physical, spiritual, and psychosocial. Furthermore, I can successfully maintain a high-grade point average while working a full-time job to pay my way through college.
I am enthusiastic regarding this position understanding that great patient care requires a solid foundation in nursing practice, prioritization, striving for further education and maintaining knowledge about current evidence-based practice guidelines, as well as good communication skills. These capabilities, coupled with my commitment to providing high-quality patient care, sympathy, staying power, and eagerness to continue learning are what I can offer at your facility as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
