Panel Data: Do shall-issues law
reduce crime-or not-
A balanced panel of data on 50 US
states, plus the District of
Columbia. Run different types of
models like pooled OLS, Fixed
effects, Random Effects and saw
variables are Simultaneous
causality bias. Removed
endogeneity by running Fixed
effect - within each state we saw
how crime rate is varying.
BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, San Diego, CA, USA May2018-August2018 Interim Engineering Intern (ML/Data Science):
A) Finding the most CPU load consuming application running on user mobile phones using Data Analysis, Python, Machine learning and Differential Privacy for optimizing the mobile performance without compromising the privacy of the user. B) Used excel, python and tableau to plot and analyze interesting and hidden insights about the data like top most CPU load consuming applications. Tata Consultancy Services, Gurgaon, India Decmber2013- July2017(3.5 years) Data Scientist: SE/ASE (Virgin Atlantic Airways, Hilton Grand vacations) A) Developed advanced statistical and predictive models to support business insights that led to fact-based decision making i.e. - dynamic pricing of airlines. B) Developed Data visualizations using tableau KPI and metrics for client to perform health-check on Airline flight legs and to reduce critical incidents. C) Proficient in writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures and scripts for data extraction and analysis.
D) Proficient writing Python script with strong knowledge in Data Analysis field. E) Analyzed customer production data to solve frequent occurring issues and incidents proposed solutions helped to improve customer satisfaction rate by 20%. F) Earned the “Certificate of Appreciation” from delivery head of TTH domain for maintaining 100% on-time project delivery and performance. PROJECTS:
Course: Applied Machine Learning (3 projects):
Supervised Learning: Applied algorithms on Bitcoin price predication Data set like Linear, Ridge, Lasso, Logistic, KNN, SVM (with/without kernel), evaluated it with cross validation and optimized it with grid search by tuning its parameters Classification: Cardiac Arrhythmia Multi-Class Classification: Applied various classification methods like – KNN, Logistic, SVM, Tree and Random Forest. Bagging, boosting to improve the results.
Deep Learning (Computer Vision): Autonomous car driving using YOLO and various CNN and RNN models to classify images and video/Audio processing. NLP: NLTK-Spacy-Gensim-Text_Blob-Tm-Topic_Modeling-Deep_Learning Various NLP projects on Twitter Sentiment Analysis, Enron Bankruptcy, Wikipedia vandalism and how one comic differ from other. Used NLTK, Spacy, Gensim, Text_Blob, Tm and other important libraries in Python and R to perform the analysis and got desired results by removing stop words and preparing the data. Course: Data Base Foundations:
Database design and python scripts by connecting with MySQL Zillow house price/price per sqft data for all states in US. Unpivoted and split the data to make it normalized up to 3rd normal form. Created an ER diagram and forward engineered it to generate the desired tables. Updated the database and wrote python script to connect with MySQL, performed various operations (sql queries). Course Project: Data Visualization(Tableau):
Crime rates over women in India (Click Here)
Developed dashboards and story after analyzing data for different crimes happening on women in India. Most prevalent was crime by family members and husband which was shocking for us.
