I, SANJAY KUMAR YADAV, an Ex-serviceman from INDIAN AIR FORCE. Served for 29 years in the trade of Administrative Assistant (Clerk General Duties) and have been discharged from IAF on

31Dec 18 (A/N) as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer with viscous experience.


During the training and service career have gained the following professional skills :-

Office Administration

Registry. Registering of incoming and outgoing correspondence, transmission of files and recording movements thereof, internal receipt and dispatch of correspondence. Maintenance of registers. Care, custody, opening and closing of files.

Typing. Computer typing and literacy. Compilation and preparation of Personal Occurrence Reports, Station Routine Orders / Unit Routine Orders. Drafting simple letters and signals of routine nature. Prepare appropriate draft letters, signals, notes etc and summaries of cases for his superiors. Compilation and preparation of routine returns.

Movement. Movement of officers, airmen and NCs(E), preparing of routine forms and claim proforma etc. Preparation and issue of Railway Warrants and concession vouchers.

Documentation. Maintenance of Air Force Orders, Air Force Instructions and publications. Completion of service documents of officers, airmen, NCs(E). Deals with terms and conditions of service of Officers, Airmen, NCs(E) and Civilians discharge / release / transfer to reserve etc. Maintains various charts and statistics. Action in case of causalities.

Office Contingency. Preparation of demands for stationery forms and publications, office machinery, maintenance of ledgers and invoices regarding these. Handling and operation of first aid firefighting appliances. Holds and operate an inventory.

General Administration. Carried out general duties on administration. Administration of personnel. Good reading and writing skills. Undertook the responsibilities independently and run sub-sections of Orderly Room. Liaison between subordinate and immediate supervisors. Undertook recruiting, testing and instructional duties. Guidance to the subordinates with a view to improve their professional knowledge and efficiency. Correct use of telephone, intercom and calculators. Supervision of office work.

Personal Assistant. As a Sgt(MACP) worked as Assistant Adjutant and confidential Secretary to Staff Officers, CO and C Adm O. Detaining of officers, airmen, NCs(E) for various Station duties and follow up action on the reports submitted by them after duty.

Work Services

Dealt with matters related to land pooling/allotment/encroachment of land.

Planning of work services with requirement to priority of work in consonance with funds availability.

Preparation of Approximate Estimates for the work services required and categorizing the nature of work.

Allotment/floating of tenders for construction of hangers, offices, labs, various technical bays, roads, sewages, fittings & fixtures, requirement of furniture etc related to thereof.

Procurement. Dealt with the process of procurement of items as per the procurement procedure. Preparation of draft contractual procedure for the items procured, preparation of LC notes as per FEMA act. Coordination of meetings for benchmarking / negotiation of the items to be procured.


Public Fund. Dealt with pay and allowances, various claims and ration.

Non-Public Fund. Coordinated various Non-Public ventures run in the organization. Conduct and compilation of annual property audit and general audit thereof.

Budget. Monitoring of funds allotted/utilization of funds and preparing comparative statement of funds position.

Book keeping and accounting using tally. Underwent Pre-release course in bookkeeping of accounts and accounting using tally. Gained the knowledge of filing various taxes, auditing of firms.

Computer literacy. By virtue in the trade of Administrative Assistant (Clerk General Duties) have very good working knowledge in computer operations on MS excel/word/access and has also completed Web Designing course from Zed CA, Allahabad.

Hotel Management. During the past career of 29 years of service in Indian Air Force have a good knowledge of management in messing, accommodation and transportation and has completed Diploma in Hotel Management and Office Administration from IGNOU as a part of Air Force service requirement.

Security Management of Strategic Installations. Being served in the discipline armed force the management of security and strategic installations are the prime nature.

Fire fighting appliances. The basic training of the defence force also involves the types and nature of fire and the usage of fire fighting appliances which is an asset to the defence personnel.
