Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts safety audits on the project involving all parties to ensure compliance with safety policies and recommend corrective actions, follow up on the suggested actions to ensure proper implementation.
Undertake different types of Risk Assessment/ Loss Management Programs and Hazard Identification Procedures.
Ensures site activities are performed in a manner that will not cause any sickness or injury to personnel and that will not damage the environment.
Communicate with the Construction Manager and Contractor HSE personnel on all site safety, health and environment matters.
Consolidate daily, weekly reports to monthly reports and prepare statistical and trend analysis reports to assess the safety performance
Identifies any hazards/ unsafe situations and ensure work does not proceed until situation is made safe.
Analyse accidents and identify trends, vulnerabilities and liabilities that may be avoided by preventive techniques and procedures.
Conduct and present different programs like EHS inductions, contractor pre- job safety meetings, tool box meetings, fire training, first aid, safe work permit
Ensures compliance by client and Contractor personnel to HSE policies, procedures and rules.
Reported daily safety activities and the topics of the day to the General Manager.
Aassist the EHS Manager in preparing accident report.
Co-ordinate and conduct inspections /audits of facilities and activates to ensure compliance to safe and good practices.
Assist in accident investigation,reporting and monitor their follow up in accordance to safety procedures.
Ensure availability of firefighting extinguishers where ever necessary & also trained worker for correct use.
Monitoring, Maintaining and inspecting PPE and fire extinguishers as per requirement.
Preparing and reviewing of safe operating procedure, fall prevention /protection system, confined space, excavation, scaffolding, crane and mock drill.
