Cover Letter
I'm writing to express my great interest in the “Administrative Assistant” position that you have available. I have a well-rounded background, am very analytical and have the ability to work under pressure. I know how to be a very professional employee as I've worked for major companies such as Sikorsky Aircraft, Pitney Bowes, GTE and GE Capital.
Having been a ‘Contract Computer Programmer,’ I’ve worked in offices of all size companies. The largest was Sikorsky Aircraft with over 3,000 employees and the smallest was a swimming pool installation company with 12 employees. So I've seen what works regarding office administration. For example:
- Keep your desk and projects organized.
- Prioritize tasks – You want be sure time sensitive ones are completed on time.
- Keep Communication lines open. And I like to meet with management about 3 times per year to make sure we're "on the same" page and that they are happy with my job performance.
- "Putting out fires" is part of the job so always be ready to allocate time for them when they occur. With these skills and qualifications, I believe I would be a great asset to your organization. I look forward to speaking with you further regarding the position.
I can do a great job for you. My resume is on the next 2 pages. Sincerely,
Mark E. Allbaugh
