Design and analysis of hearing aid– Main Project

Duration: 1 year Team size: 5

• Hearing aids are devices which amplify sound in order to assist those with hearing loss.

• Noise reduction, amplitude shaping and frequency shaping are some characteristics implemented here.

• Detailed study of various types and classification of hearing aids and also comparative study on analogue and digital hearing aid is done.

• 1/3 octave bands is used for sub band processing.

• Frequency response masking are familiarized and IFIR method is used for designing filters. Platform: MATLAB Simulink

Temperature sensor using seven segmented Display – Mini Project Duration: 6 months Team Size: Four

• The objective of the project is to determine room temperature and display in seven segmented LED

• This is a hard-wire based project.

• The temperature is sensed using a temperature sensor IC LM35.

• The circuit is composed of LF 353 dual op-amp, 9400 V/F converter, MC14553 three digit binary coded decimal counter, NE555 timers and LED display PERSONAL SKILLS
