INTERNATIONAL CRUISE & EXCURSIONS (Scottsdale, AZ) Oct 2018 – March 2019
Sr Scrum Master (Contract) — Initially hired on as a Scrum Master for enterprise software team consisting of 6 developers, 1 Business Analyst and 1 Quality Assurance Engineer. Role and responsibilities were quickly extended to include Scrum Master for 3 other teams with a total of 18 developers 4 Business analysis and 5 Quality Assurance Engineers, and Program Manager for new business initiative between I.C.E. and Carnival Cruises. Directly interacting with C-level leadership to ensure roadmap alignment with business lines.
Scrum Master: Introduced Scrums principles, practices and benefits to I.C.E. I.C.E. was loosely using Scrum, however teams were not accountable Sprint deadlines and typically rolling over stories Sprint after Sprint. Stories were too large to get completed and were released at the end of the Scrum as opposed to when the stores were finished. I demonstrated to Senior Management the benefits of Scrum framework and within 30 days had the travel team ruing Sprints on time and releasing 96% error free software changes to the digital platform.
Scrum Master: Using Agile methodology, Java and .Net technology to implement a new Payment Platform integrated using Azure Cloud and on prem technologies to meet growing global demands of the business, achieving transaction fee cost reductions and higher revenue retention rates of subscription-based business lines.
Program Manager: Was requested to take over the I.C.E. & Carnival Project that was failing and behind schedule and was able to make the initial project goals and time line. By working closing with the business teams was able to deliver the project that meet the expectations of I.C.E. & Carnival with all of the CRM & Customer Profile benefits that were expected. Project was completed on time and on Budget.
BANK OF THE WEST (Tempe. AZ) Jul. 2018 – Oct 2018
Enterprise Project Manager/Sr Scrum Master (Contract) — Project Manager of enterprise software projects, responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle from conceptualization, budgeting implementing and post support including all resources requirements local and off shore.
Scrum Master: $2 million CRM application using SAFe agile methodology and Java, to decommission old 3rd party CRM application and implement a new in house designed for commercial customer of the Bank of the West. Oversaw a team of 6 developers (2 offshore) 3 Business Analysts and 2 Quality Control team members. Running 2-week Sprints was part of larger internal project the bank was developing. Project was completed on time and on Budget.
SILICON VALLEY BANK (Tempe. AZ) Jun. 2017 – Dec 2017
Sr Enterprise Project Manager/Sr Scrum Master (Contract) — Project Manager of enterprise software projects, responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle from conceptualization, budgeting implementing and post support including all resources requirements local and off shore. Improve financial controls, capital planning & procurement, and lowered sustaining costs by streamlining process to ensure the organization was compliant and meeting all regulations in US & UK. Provided requirements needed for data archival per HUMDI as part of the decommissioning the old LOS system and the old data archive application once we went live on new apps.
Scrum Master: $2.25 million Compass Mortgage Software project using agile methodology upgrading SVB’s existing mortgage application and implementing a new cloud-based solution. Oversaw the software development of 3rd party interfaces from Encompass to SVB’s data warehouse. Managed a team of 5 developers, 2 Business Analyst and 2 QA testers. Project was on time and under budget by $125K.
Project Management: PM for the implementation of $800K cloud-based data archiving project. Convert from enterprise based 3rd party solution to a cloud-based solution for voice, email, text, social media and Wall Street data. Responsible for creating a plan for retrieving data if required. Current banking regulations required that Silicon Valley Bank be able to retrieve data as far back as 7 years.
