Responsible for office visits for Pre and post op surgical assessments, diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries, or developmental, degenerative orthopedic changes. Ordering treatments, such as braces, phys. Therapy, pain medication as needed. Administration of steroid or hyaluronic acid gel injections. Reading Xrays and interpreting results, developing a treatment plan. Dictating office notes using Dragon. Evaluating patients in the Orthopedic Acute Care Injury Clinic. Also, responsible for orthopedic treatments in the ER at Concord Hospital which required closed reductions of orthopedic fractures, and injuries. Gathering of H & P for surgical candidates and prescribing antibiotics, pain medication and treatments, obtaining consults as needed and ordering of appropriate diagnostics.
