Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.- I approach each day with this mentality, and am dedicated to giving my absolute best in pursuit of a fulfilling career.

Kickboxing/Mixed Martial Arts/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor No Limit Jiu Jitsu and MMA
2012 to 2015
As a former professional mixed martial artist, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt, and lifelong practitioner of martial arts (with black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido, and decades of experience with Boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, and submission wrestling), I decided to take on the role of instructor after deciding to retire from professional fighting. While finishing my Biochemistry degree at the University of Mississippi back in 2008-2010, I started the Ole Miss BJJ/MMA club, which ended up becoming a huge success with over 40 students. In fact, this endeavor became so successful that the university granted us funding and adopted the team as an official part of the University of Mississippi Department of Athletics that still exists at the university today. Being a part of that experience inspired me to continue teaching martial arts after moving back to Jackson to pursue my graduate medical education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. This is how I came to be involved with the No Limit BJJ/MMA organization.
