● Fiat Chrysler Automobiles – Auburn Hills, MI – Automotive Urea Systems September 2013 – Current – Design Release Engineer

● Managed the WK (Grand Cherokee) urea system (post-launch) from 2014MY to 2016MY

● Managed the JL (Wrangler) urea systems from early development to launch 2018MY and 2020MY

Developed the architecture of the vehicle with a large cross functional team

Designed the components of the 2 separate urea systems, including a blow-molded tank, extruded and formed lines and tubes, and stamped skid plates.

Managed a supply base for each part in both prototype and production development stages, covering the design, quality, component/system testing, logistics, and subsupplier chain.

Performed vehicle level testing with on-location extreme weather test trips, directing the instrumentation of the vehicles and reporting out on the results for development testing.

● Mentored two new engineers, bringing them up to speed on our systems, assisting with their programs for the first few months, and remained as a point of reference

● Inergy Automotive Systems – Troy, MI – Automotive Fuel Systems September 2007 – February 2013 – Co-op Student (2.5 years total)

● Production plant experience: Focus on tank production and LEAN manufacturing

● Testing lab expereience: Performed fuel fill testing, freeze/thaw testing on urea, rapid prototyped testing setups, and performed a pressurized tank study for plastic PHEV tanks.

● Research expereience: Studied composite plastic materials to improve structural robustness, and investigated non-liquid urea methods of exhaust NO x aftertreatment

● Thesis project – Studied the use of phase change materials for reducing purge time of carbon canisters for use in hybrid vehicle applications. Determined that the piece price increase was very high relative to performance increase and would not recommend.
