Administered arrests, searches, seizures, detentions, misconduct, allegations of misconduct against CBP employees, and the discharge of firearms by CBP employees.

Conducted investigations jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General, and Customs and Immigration Enforcement/Office of Professional Responsibility.

Delivered support to the SAIC on budgetary matters as they pertain to required resources, including costs of investigations in terms of manpower, equipment, travel, government vehicles, and purchase of evidence.

Oversaw performance evaluations of subordinates and provide advice, counsel, and guidance on work and administrative matters.

Conducted investigations related to fraudulent use of the U.S. mail system ranging from identity theft to money laundering.

Investigated theft by contract employees, robberies of postal employees, burglaries of postal facilities, assaults involving postal employees, and homicides involving postal employees.

Served on the Oklahoma Economic Crimes and Identity Theft Task Force.

Key Accomplishment

Worked as the Dangerous Mail Inspector for the State of Oklahoma, which involved responding to and performing forensic examinations on suspicious powders and liquids found in U.S. mail.

U.S. SECRET SERVICE, Los Angeles, CA & Dallas, TX 2001 – 2007

Criminal Investigator

Planned and completed comprehensive investigations of alleged violations of laws and regulations related to fraud and counterfeiting of U.S. Federal Reserve Notes.

Conducted investigations independently or as part of team that resulted in identification, location, apprehension, prosecution, or presentation for administrative action of individuals involved in criminal fraud.

Performed protective security advances and protective details for individuals designated for protection by the President of the United States of America, former Presidents of the United States, and visiting Heads of State.

U.S. MARSHAL’S SERVICE, El Paso, TX 1997 – 2001

Senior Aviation Enforcement Officer

Planned and executed the secure and safe transportation of Federal prisoners and illegal aliens by Marshals Service aircraft throughout the U.S. and to select foreign countries.

Supervised 10-13 contract Guards and assigned specific in-flight and ground positions and duties.

Directed and supervised responses to incidents involving prisoners, ensured prisoners remained under control, and ensured handling complied with Federal laws and Marshal Service policy and procedures.

Participated in serving search warrants to Federal fugitives and provided court security during Federal trials.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, Ysleta, TX 1992 – 1997

U.S. Border Patrol Agent

Responsible for enforcing immigration and nationality laws of the United States of America by patrolling areas near the U.S./Mexico Border and arresting individuals violating these laws.

Performed enhancement duties to locate and arrest individuals involved in smuggling humans and illegal contraband into the United States.

Employed specialized knowledge and various enforcement techniques: surveillance, traffic checks, sign cutting, urban and desert terrain knowledge, developing informants, and search and interview techniques.

Served as a collateral duty EEO Counselor, assisting with complaint resolution at the lowest possible level.
