This project is aimed to provide clients a prompt payment of their bills through an efficient payment system and account management service handled by the team. Tasks include system analysis and design, coding and inter-level testing, implementation and maintenance support of new applications. Applications’ system runs through host systems for processing (mainframe) and distributed through the web and client/servers for clients’ information and verification. From September 2003 to February 2004, was assigned as a Business Development Expert (BDE) handling application developments and enhancements for Safeway, Inc. Safeway Application Systems include HR/Payroll, Accounting/Financial, Logistics/Point of Sales/Sales Inventory and Delivery, and Web. Multi-platform based HR/Payroll application systems are using PeopleSoft and Mainframe platforms. DB2 Database Management System is used for data storage and maintenance.

For Accounting/Financial System Architecture is powered by Informix/Mainframe. Logistics is running under Mainframe and Web-based applications are written in Java.

From June 2003 to August 2003, was a member of production support team of Safeway HR/Payroll System. This system manages the Safeway employees’ payroll records using PeopleSoft HR/Financial Tools. The system is windows-based and connected to a high-end host computer (IBM Mainframe) for all major processing of payroll, and uses DB2 database management system for its data manipulation and management.

From February 2003 to May 2003, was a member of production support team of Safeway Enterprise Time and Attendance System (ETAS). This system manages the VONS Safeway stores of their employees’ weekly time records for prompt and accurate payroll processing using JAVA programming language and PeopleSoft management database system. The system is web-based, on n-tier system architecture having web application servers and database servers. DB2 Database Management System is used for data storage and maintenance.

Main tasks included is the development of encryption/decryption program that is performed before each transfer of Cardholder Authorization File (Account Information of Customers) using C/C++ programming language from host system (TANDEM) to another host system (AS/400) using Tandem COBOL language, and testing of the program at unit level.

From March 2000 to June 2000, was assigned to work for Vancouver Enhancement Team on the Product Inquiry System Enhancement Project. Responsibilities included the enhancement of online program for Product Inquiry System using CA-TELON language for MVS/Mainframe environment. Actual testing of programs on mainframe environment were done and implemented to production. Other tasks included were program analysis and testing of enhanced programs. DB2 Database Management System is used for data storage and Maintenance.

From November 1999 to February 2000, was assigned to work on the Safeway Production Support Team (Accounts Receivable System - Offshore). Responsibilities included were primary offshore production support and preventive maintenance support for Safeway. Inherent production problems were reviewed and simulated. Resolving of incurred production problems was also performed. Job monitoring, System logs archiving, and resolving/fixing system abends were the major tasks included in this project. The production support team also maintained AR/ASI, Real State, Canadian Fixed Assets, APECS, and Consolidated Draft Printing Systems. DB2 Database Management System is used for data storage and maintenance.

From March 1999 to October 1999, was assigned to work on the Vancouver Enhancement Team for Canada Safeway on the NIMS (Nutrition and Ingredients Management System) Project. Responsibilities included system enhancements of online screens to cater to user requests using CA-TELON. Enhancements follow the top-down design procedures: user requirements specification, system analysis and design, multi-level testing and implementation. DB2 Database Management System is used for data storage and maintenance.

From December 1998 to February 1999, was assigned to work on the Safeway Production Support Team (Accounts Payable System Transition - Offshore). I have been assigned as project leader for migrating Singer Sewing Machine Accounts Receivable System on IBM 4381 mainframe from MVS/XA to MVS/ESA platforms.

I have worked as a team leader for the MVS/ESA Conversion of Singer Sewing Machine Accounts Receivable System. Planned and designed the approaches to be used for conversion. Edited and tested COBOL, JCL, and EARL programs, under MVS/ESA environment.

I have been assigned in maintaining the Accounts Receivable System of Singer Sewing Machines Company, which includes all COBOL, EARL, and JCL programs. Designed, coded and maintain several procedures as part of systems enhancement and additional requests by the client.
