Head of Cable Section Al Ain Distribution Co. UAE, Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities:

Directs, manages and controls the activities of the two units in the section: 1- Cables Unit.

2- Cable Inspection & Diagnosis Unit.

Planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects for the inspection, corrective maintenance, partial discharges, cable diagnosis, development of the 11 / 33KV Cables, and their related assets, for Al Ain City and rural regions.

Recently I have designed & executed project in AADC to standardize phasing in the 11KV network in Al Ain city & regions. The project finished on June 2012.

Adopt &Implemented Cable Diagnoses test & PD test on the 11KV & 33KV network in Al Ain city and region.

Proactively anticipate and resolve problems encountered in the cable network to prevent costly rework or re-testing.

Participates in formulating long and short term plans, policies and procedures for the Unit in coordination with the Department Manager, and develops strategies and plans for capital investments relating to strategic power network development.

Provide technical recommendation to improve existing standard of MV cables & accessories.

Raises Material, Purchase and Work Requests through MAXIMO, ensuring sufficient and adequate material for the Unit maintenance / repair activities. Presents to Head of Section for approval. Ascertains that all duties are performed in accordance with set standards, procedures & HSE rules. 3/19/1992 –9/30/ 1994

Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Qatenah Power Station – HOMS, Syria Responsibilities:

Since my Graduation in 1985, I joined Qatenah Power Station as Maintenance Engineer. The power station was composed of four steam turbines .3 of them were 30 MW each and one 64 MW. My job specification was as follow:

Maintenance of power generators ( 30 MW and 64 MW)

Maintenance of DC generators which provide excitation current to AC generators.

Maintenance of starting movement motors.

Maintenance of Power Transformers of ratings:

10.5/66KV (40-80 MVA)

10.5/6KV (10-20 MVA)

6 / 0.4KV (1-2 MVA)

Maintenance of SF6,Oil, Air circuit barkers ( 6 and 10.5 KV)

Maintenance & repair large water pumps ( 6 KV, 2.5MW )

Repair failure of control system for generators and transformers.

Repair faults of control system for motors of pumping water, fuel pumps and air compressor

(Different ratings)

Repair faults of electric valves for water, steam and fuel lines.

Repair and design of control and operating panels( I designed and executed an auto- start control system for the fuel pumps according fuel pressure and temperature), this system was approved.

Prepare, executing routine& emergency maintenance programs.

In 1991 I have been nominated as Assistant to the Head Section of electrical maintenance in the Power Station.
