Provide hands-on design and engineering functions for all Server Hardware, Operating System, Database Server, and Networking Architecture as it pertained to the development, testing, and delivery of the VGT Game Server Software utilized at all Casino Customer Sites servicing 23000+ Slot Machines all configured in a client-server configuration. Successfully architected and hands-on engineered the VGT Casino Systems (Virtual Cloud Environment), encompassing both Hypervisor Hosts and Virtual Machines required for all casino site operations. Hands-on developed a comprehensive custom-built PowerShell driven Script Engine (“Virtual Cloud Resources Toolset”) used for initial deployments through on-going customer site & configuration management over time. Responsible for all aspects of the IT Department including Personnel Management, Project Management, Strategic Planning, Capital Budget Creation/Management, and Regulatory Adherence. Additionally, I was very instrumental with providing hands-on engineering, implementation, and ongoing administrative support for the company’s computer based systems and LAN/WAN environment.

Developed and implemented all IT Controls, Systems and Documentation for Security, Operations, Change Management and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for compliance with SOX 404. This included the initial discovery of existing systems, process and controls as well as all remediation and enhancements through process, system and control additions and improvements.

Implemented and administered a 32 Server Environment consisting of Active Directory, SQL 2000, Exchange 2000/2003, ISA Server, IIS, File and Print, Application and core infrastructure systems.

Implemented and administered the company’s remote application network utilizing Citrix Metaframe XPe for access to company applications for its 30+ remote client offices. This included the deployment of a WAN utilizing Frame Relay and Internet access and included the setup of all routers, servers and client machine deployments.

Responsible for all in house developed .net applications as it related to the logistics for testing, QA, deployment and production environment support utilizing IIS and SQL server.

Developed and implemented a comprehensive security plan for the company utilizing Microsoft ISA Server for Firewall, VPN and Proxy functionality. Additionally, SecureID Servers and tokens were employed to facilitate enhanced system security.

Developed a change management lab, to mimic the production environment, for quality assurance testing of all in-house developed applications and for all modifications or upgrades to existing systems prior to any production environment integration.

Coordinated, tested, and executed an upgrade for all computer systems from a Windows NT 4.0 environment to a Windows 2000/2003 environment. This included the upgrade to Active Directory, SQL 2000, Exchange 2000/2003, Metaframe XPe and all additional core infrastructure systems. Additionally, all application software was tested and upgraded in coordination with the infrastructure upgrade.
