Personal Loan Interest Rate Forecast (Fall 2017)
Performed data modeling using Predictive Analytics techniques. Treated missing values and outliers for the best model performance with incomplete information. Reduced the model dimension using EDA and domain knowledge. Designed 7 forecast models with machine learning tools like Random Forest, and Neural Networks. Optimized parameters in each model and used cross validation to ensure generalizability and select the best model.
Denver Children’s Hospital Wait Time Analysis (Spring 2017)
Led a four-person research team to simulate the patient flow of a neurology clinic in Simio with real data. Implemented algorithm that estimate the budget for alternative test room capacity and number of doctors. Tested 10 scenarios and conducted a bottleneck analysis. Chose the best scenario and reduced the maximum time in waiting room from 52 min. to 8 min.
