Dear Sir/Madam,

I wish to apply for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position at your organization.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in August 2018 with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.

The University of Texas at Arlington is equipped with a strong didactic curriculum and an intensive and extensive hands-on clinical practicum to adequately prepare its Nurse Practitioner graduates for the practice. I gained an extensive experience (650 Clinical Practicum Hours) in the clinical setting as a Supervised Primary Care Mental Health Provider to a diverse Mental Health Patient Population.

I developed a passion in helping Mental Health patients when I began my nursing career as a Registered Nurse (RN) in JPS hospital. I mainly worked on the medical surgical floor but was frequently floated to work on psychiatric medical floor where I developed a great enthusiasm in this field. This passion motivated me to further my education to become a NP in mental health in order to fully serve these population.

I am very empathetic, enthusiastic, tenacious, creative, and trustworthy and therefore strongly believe that I am the best candidate well qualified to undertake the responsibilities of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Throughout my nursing career, I have cultivated and nurtured a passion which has been mostly dedicated to a mix of patient population with both medical and Mental Health issues. I strongly believe that your department would provide an excellent environment for my intellectual and professional growth.

Enclosed is my resume to affirm my qualifications to join your team.

Thank you for your attention and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Lillian King
