Assignment: Software Service

Client : CGI OneITSM Germany, CGI OneITSM Canada

Role : Developer

Environment: ARS 7.6 to ARS 8.1 Upgrade.

Description:

CGI OneITSM Germany and CGI OneITSM Canada is an instance of Remedy in Germany and Canada, which has more than 200 Clients. All these Clients are on Single Remedy system and are present in Multitenancy Mode. The Project involved Upgradation of Remedy from 7.6 to 8.1 by taking care of all existing customization in the system. There were many complex customizations. The Project completed successfully in 1 Year with minimal defects and Bugs.

Responsibilities:

Understand the Existing Customization through the Available Function Requirement Document.

Upgradation from 7.6 to 8.1 using BPCU.

Understand Granular Overlay and customize the system to meet the Requirements i.e. Remediation.

Test the customization and prepare the test cases for the Testing team.

Release the Code from Dev environment to Production.

Migrating large amount of data during production cut off between servers with least downtime for the end users.

Post upgradation re validate all the integration with third party.

Fix all the product defects and Bugs post upgradation to 8.1.

CGI OneITSM U.K and CGI OneITSM are two instances of Remedy, which has more than 300 + Clients from Different Domain like telecom, Petroleum, Software Services in multitenancy Mode. These clients have lots of SRDs, Approvals, and Integration with third party tool. There are Regular Customization and maintenance of the existing customization.

Responsibilities:

Involved in understanding of business processes to learn business requirements.

Gather new customization Requirement, Estimate the effort and share with the Client.

Develop the customization, testing of customization with impact analysis and Release of Code from Development to Production Environment.

Develop processes for cleansing, transforming, extracting, integrating and loading data with use of Effective Technology tool and Data Migration tool.

Develop staging forms for third Party Integration with Remedy.
