Review all orders and patient information to insure accuracy and to execute correct exams for pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patients. Explain all exams to patients and obtain history pertaining to exam. Perform routine radiographic exams with proper lead shielding. Arranges, attaches or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices to obtain optimal images with the least discomfort to the patient. Set up and assist the Radiologist with all fluoroscopy exams. Review all STAT Call or questionable exams with Radiologist before patient leaves to provide instructions on continued care. Ability to adjust technical factors depending on patient habitus, process images using the PACS System. Print films directly from the Carestream unit. Print films, CD’s and DICOM CD’s from PACS. Properly label all forms of imaging for courier delivery or pick up. Run calibration for Carestream Digital detector for regular maintenance. Call GE or Carestream for maintenance if necessary with presenting issues. Follow infection control and universal precautions and HIPPA regulations for all patients. Ensure all supplies are properly stocked and ordered to complete exams.

Mammography technologist on a Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Unit. Review all orders and patient information to insure accuracy and to execute correct exams for Male/Female, adult and geriatric patients. Perform annual screenings and diagnostic exams utilizing positioning skills to produce clear, reliable images. Review diagnostic exams with the reading radiologist, relay accurate information to Sonography technologist for further imaging or to the patient if a biopsy will be necessary. Perform weekly Quality Control procedures to ensure equipment is working properly and correctly documents technical aspects. Call for maintenance if necessary with presenting issues.

Preforms exams not requiring constant supervision and also competent in completing exams using the Xoran Mini CAT and GE Lunar Prodigy Densitometer. Ability to help answer phones and schedule exams and confirm appointments. Ability to prioritize and remain focused on the essence of an issue and learns new concepts quickly while working under pressure. Contributes to the overall success of the facility and maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and patients. Computer competencies using Intergy, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
