PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:

A Gravity Dam derives its stability from the force of gravity of the materials in the section and hence the name. It has sufficient weight to withstand the forces and the overturning moment.

MAJOR PROJECT:

Title of the Project : FLOATING BRIDGE

Team size : Six members

Project Role : Team Leader

Duration : Three months

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:

It works on Archimedes Principle. They are unusual type of structures and are built near deep water bodies. Their design varies greatly by location and purpose. A combination of anchors and mooring lines are used for the stability.
