Evaluated process induced residual stresses in carbon fiber composites after a resin transfer molding process. Project consisted of modeling carbon fiber geometry and conducting thermal and mechanical deformation tests, with results verified by self-designed process. Successfully reduced deformation by 19%.
3D Printed Microfluidic Diode January 2016 – May 2016
Designed printed and tested several iterations of a microfluidic diode capable of completely eliminating back flow through the diode at low pressure flows as part of graduate level 3D printing course.
