Created custom test platforms for real-time data measurement, logging, and analysis
Electrical Engineer
SDSU Rocket Project Avionics Team – Far Mars Project 09/15/2017 – 05/01/2018
Contributor to PCB design of Far Mars on board components
Professor Research Volunteering
SDSU Sponsored Medical Research 01/18/2018 – 05/01/2018
Executed professor led tests with electronic stethoscope and ppg meter to measure electronic signals of a human body
Analyzed information using Matlab written code.
Contributor to published research titled as: A Preliminary Analysis on Dependence of the Split in Second Heart Sounds with Tidal Volume
PROJECTS
Lithium Ion Battery Charger Board with LED Charge Indicators (Ventrilink)
Ground-up Design and Remodel Completed 08/15/2017
Simulated Logic gates and op-amp comparators for 5-LED charge level display through circuit simulator (LTSpice)
Used Breadboard PCB design and assembly for real-world simulation of LTSpice results
Designed Altium Circuit Maker schematics based on component datasheets
Created custom packages: footprints, 3D models, and symbols for various PCB components
Completed a full PCB design cycle with component placement, net routing, polygon pours, via-stitching, generation of Gerber Files, build of materials (BOM), Pick and Place files, and manufacturing package release.
Currently the design has been tested / verified and is awaiting mass production.
ECG Patch Breakout Board
Testing Points Extension Board Completed06/01/2017
Designed a custom breakout PCB for a small form-factor ECG patch. The breakout included powers regulation, test points and an SPI serial interface and USB interface via FTDI FT221 IC.
Hand assembled the board by using a stencil, component placement, and heat treatment to melt solder on individual pads
