Current Position:

Principal Project Manager – Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd)

Selected to serve as the Project Manager for several Transformer Emergent Replacement Projects (Des Plaines, Taylor, North Aurora) to ensure the timely restoration of needed capacity in an effective manner.

Served as the Primary Transformer Project Manager responsible for Procurement, Delivery, Storage and Installation of Transformers including Construction, Testing, and Placing into Service.

Developed a new Forecasting Checklist and Guidelines used as a Human Performance Tool to improve Project Manager forecasting.

Received and staged an annual Record number of transformers (both Distribution and Transmission) for ComEd

Facilitated several projects through the ComEd Approval/ Authorization Process including presentations to the ComEd Senior Management team as these projects progressed through the various Review/Approval committees including the Project Review Committee, Project Authorization Review Committee, etc.

Performed the financial management of several projects including forecasting, contract management, accruals, attendance at financial review meetings, etc. Responsible for the management of approximately 70 to 110 million dollars of projects over a 4 year period.

Nuclear Oversight (NOS) Projects Lead Assessor (7 years) – Exelon Nuclear

Responsible for the successful execution of a new position responsible for the independent oversight of major projects such as the Single Phase Detection project, Main Power Transformer replacement projects, ECCS Sump Screen Replacement projects, etc. This position provided an independent assessment of external vendor performance and Exelon Nuclear Project Management performance including reporting these results to Exelon Senior Management personnel. The position included frequent trips to vendor facilities to assess and enforce Exelon expectations.

Nuclear Oversight (NOS) Program Manager (3.5 years) – Exelon Nuclear

Responsible for Program Development & Administration of NOS Programs including the Company Quality Assurance Topical Report (QATR). Responsibilities included budget and business plan development and management including status reporting and accountability for performance. Service as the Project Manager for the development of the Standard Quality Assurance Program for the nuclear fleet when ComEd merged with PECO. Served as a member of a National Industry Committee for a Quality Standard (ANSI/ASME NQA-1); specifically on the Assessment and Verification Subcommittee with an influential role that represented the interests of Exelon Nuclear.

Corrective Action Program (CAP) Manager/Analyst (5 years) – Exelon Nuclear

C orrective Action Program Manager at Braidwood Station responsible for overall Corrective Action administration and execution for all Station personnel. Developed and worked with Station Senior Management team to establish accountability and set Station goals for performance. Successfully interfaced with external agencies such as INPO and NRC with respect to CAP performance. The CAP program at Braidwood was recognized by these external agencies as an area of excellent performance. Managed a staff of CAP analysts including clerical support.

Developed a Performance Trend Report that was recognized throughout Exelon Nuclear as the best Trend Report in the nuclear fleet. This report was used as a tool by the Senior Management team to drive performance improvements.

Audit Team Leader (ATL) (6 years) – Exelon Nuclear

Certified Audit Team Leader that led audits in several functional areas including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Chemistry. Several audits were specifically recognized by the NRC as outstanding audits including a Chemistry audit performed at LaSalle Station and a Operations audit performed at Dresden Station. Also responsible auditing Engineers of Choice (EOC) and developed a new audit checklist that was specifically designed to audit the critical attributes associated with the design control processes used by EOCs.

Nuclear Plant System Analyst/Programmer (5 years) - Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC)

Responsible for designing, modifying and maintaining plant monitoring programs such as SPDS in order to meet customer needs. Performed the maintenance and development of software codes and software documentation deliverables. Served as Test Director for software resident on nuclear plant computer systems including the development and execution of these tests at customer facilities.

Nuclear Plant Construction (6 years) – Watts Bar, South Texas Project, Comanche Peak, etc.

System Engineer for Reactor Coolant Auxiliary Systems and Waste Disposal Systems at TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Responsible for installation and testing.

Mechanical Level III at Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant responsible for the training and certification of all Brown & Root QC inspectors including the maintenance and development of inspection criterion.

QA Engineer at South Texas Project responsible for the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures. Responsible for the review/approval of procedures used by site contractors.

Seismic Testing Engineer (1 year) – Wyle Laboratories

Performed both Seismic Testing and Analysis/Calculations for various plant equipment/components.
