EXPERIENCE
SEPTEMBER 2017 – PRESENT
GIS FIELD TECHNICIAN, udc
As a GIS Field Technician for UDC on the Xcel Energy Project, I am working in the field updating existing GIS inventory as I find it in the field. I communicate daily with Xcel Energy customers and explain the goals and expectations of the project. Daily use of ArcPad v.10, a TruPoint laser, and a professional grade sub-meter Trimble GPS handheld unit. Data management and a daily upload of my current work unit are just a few of the tasks I am responsible for on a daily basis. I have also performed back-office quality control on the submitted work of colleagues. Strong attention to detail is required for both field and back-office work.
MAY 2017 – AUGUST 2017
GIS INTERN, maxout academic training
As an intern, I assumed the role of a GIS Director instituting a GIS department for a tutoring business in Jacksonville, FL. I created and maintained a database on student progress and payment using PostGreSQL. The most important task performed was a site selection for a business looking to expand.
